Meeting with developers across the continent, I hear the same question: "Why bother learning to code when we have AI?" AI coding assistants are transforming software development by turning ideas into specs, designs, and working code. But here's what I've learned from these conversations: these tools don't replace developers; they amplify them. Modern AI tools work as intelligent partners by catching mistakes, automating quality checks, and more, but still require human judgment, creativity, and technical understanding to guide them.
