The AI hype cycle is reaching its moment of disillusionment. While chatbots still dominate today’s AI conversations, it's important to look at the real intelligence that isn’t just about talking, but about acting, and how we make it possible in the web ecosystem.
In this talk, we’ll explore agentic AI in the browser: AI systems that observe their environment, make decisions, and safely take action using modern Web APIs, even with sketchy internet connections.
Through live demos, we’ll build a browser-resident agent that runs in Web Workers, manages memory with IndexedDB, interacts with the file system, and operates offline-first; all while respecting user permissions and trust boundaries.
If you’ve ever wondered how to use the modern browser to move beyond “AI chat” and into autonomous, goal-driven software, this talk is for you.
